A country kitchen for a Warwickshire Airbnb

When we pulled up into the drive of Elms Farmhouse for the first time last year, we were impressed by the quality and the high standard of workmanship that had gone into building the property. It’s is a newly built oak-framed house located in a beautiful and peaceful setting that oozes charm and character – both inside and out.

Judith’s design brief was for us to create a kitchen in a classic style to include plenty of storage and to include contemporary features to ensure that her kitchen ‘worked’ perfectly for a modern lifestyle.

It’s houses like this we particularly enjoy creating bespoke kitchens for as it is almost like working with a blank canvas. The owner of the property, Judith, opted for a handmade made-to-measure solid wood kitchen from Country Kitchens. We hand painted the main units in Farrow & Ball’s Elephant’s Breath and the island unit was painted in Farrow & Ball’s Charleston Grey. All of the unit interiors were finished with a bleached pine stain and a water resistant protection.

The property has now been placed on the popular accommodation site Airbnb. For £60 per room per night, guests get a king-sized bed with fabulous views, a large screen television and sole use of a bathroom complete with walk-in ‘rain’ shower, as well as a continental-style buffet breakfast. There is shared use of the kitchen and dining area as well as the seating area off the kitchen and garden.

As for the location of the property, you really can’t go wrong. It’s situated within the quiet hamlet of Newbold Pacey which is just one mile from Wellesbourne.
